For years, the Center for Comprehensive Health Practice has been a trusted place for East Harlem families to receive care that treats the whole person. As our neighborhood's needs evolve, we have been listening closely: to our patients, to neighbors who joined us at our spring Open House, and to the community health assessments produced by local hospitals and Community Board 11. The message has been clear. Families here are asking for more support for young people's mental health, for managing diabetes and weight, and for mothers before, during, and after pregnancy. With nearly a quarter of our patients under 18, most of our patients women, and many already living with or at risk for diabetes, these aren't abstract priorities. They reflect the people who walk through our doors every day.

That is why we are planning to expand into a new, fully accessible space at 2005 Third Avenue, between 110th and 111th Streets, less than half a mile from our current home and steps from the 6 train and several bus lines. Our existing location will continue serving patients as it always has, while the new site will allow us to grow in three key areas: counseling for adolescents; nutrition, diabetes, and endocrinology care; and comprehensive women's health, including prenatal, postpartum, maternal mental health, and doula support. With natural light, a private outdoor space, and its own dedicated entrance, the new center is being designed to feel welcoming, private, and rooted in the neighborhood. We are working alongside community members, local partners, and elected officials to bring this vision to life, with a phased opening anticipated in 2028, and we can't wait to welcome you.
